Last effort

What a great pleasure to be invited to support a unique initiative for the Paris candidacy regarding the Olympic games in 2024.
The idea was named ‘En Selle Pour Paris 2014‘ and consited in doing the end of the 7th stage of Le Tour de France arriving at the lake of Payolle in my lovely Grand Tourmalet.

For this occasion I had the chance to pedal with a bunch of champions: Louis Armary (europeean champion of rugby and 3rd of the world cup); Philippe Dintrans (double europeean champion and vice- world champion ofrugby); William Ayache (football gold medalist for the Olympic Games of Los Angeles in 1984); Wilfrid Forgues (gold medalist in canoë biplace at the Olympic Games of Atlanta in 1996); Nicolas Lopez (Olympic champion in sabre by team and silver medalist by individual in the Olympic Games of Beijing in 2008); Mathieu Crépel (Team France for the Olympic Games in 2006, double world champion of snowboard); Vincent Valéry (Team France for the Olympic Games in Turin in 2006) and Boris Neveu (World Champion 2015 and Europe Champion 2016 in kayak slalom) if you please!

The roadmap was to start from Bagnères de Bigorre to reach Payolle (20km) by bike just before the offical arrival of the race. We had a perfect weather to do this not too hot, not too cold so the perfect macth to enjoy the tour and the natural beauty of the surroundings. I am not used to biking but I had to say that it was so enjoyable to cross the mountain in another means of transport: Unique experience!

A thousand imaginary worlds

White masterpiece

Summer vibes are every single day in my veins and after an awesome winter with some surprising discoveries as the White 1921 Courchevel I had this dream to stay couple days in St Tropez. Heard a lot about St Trop’ since awhile and I wanted to experience this tiny place by myself going beyond all the ‘clichés’. For this time I had the chance to travel with my friend Alice and it was so cool to chase our adventures in a completely new environment for both of us :)

We could not opt for a better option staying at the White 1921 Saint-Tropez to have a first very special approach of Saint Trop’! Just passing the spectacular doorway make me feel at the same time unique and out of the ordinary, like if simplicity nowadays became new luxury. The ancient villa of the doctor of Saint-Tropez became the reatreat of the ultimate hedonists!

At the White there’s no flourishes and the magic word is ‘minimalism, all I campaign for 😉 A true white harmony reigns in the hotel surrounded by my two favorite luxury fashious houses Fendi & Céline which make me feel at home as quickly as possible. With only 8 rooms LVMH Hotel Management brings back a form of exclusivity and rarity into luxury hospitality, like a second breath which I enjoy a lot!

Creating memorable memories is something exhilarating in a such peaceful and rad dwelling. So we’ve created a true collection of good life moments without thinking of anything: play & chill afternoons on the ‘Tropézienne terrace’, cocooning in bed mornings, breakfast in the magnificient lounge area, night calls from our balcony, party atmosphere and cocktails time at the Champagne Bar… Simpliest things are always the best and

Nature around the village is just awesome, what a better idea to make live my motto ‘Inspiration through Exploration’ than a stroll along this gorgeous coast?! Translucent light blue water, blazing sun, ‘chassé croisé’ of luxury yachts, the first priviliged tourists enjoying the beach, palm trees shadows… sounds like France is better than heaven, we just need to realise it and see all beautiful gifts life has to offer B-)

Another amazing experience to close probably the best spring time I ever had after all those road trips to Milan, Roma, Portofino, Monaco, Cannes, Nice and now Saint Tropez! I am not used to mention people but I would like to thank Stephane, Marine and Steffania for their warm welcome, smiles and precious advices they made of our daily life the ultimate dream 😉

I guess we find at the White 1921 Saint-Tropez the key to open a thousand imaginary worlds, what’s next?

Parallel World

The Belmond Hotel Splendido is just what I call a true masterpiece! I discovered last summer that a piece of heaven has survived in Italy and this gem was known under the name of Portofino! As we said to each other with Baptsite my assistant for this trip, just at the thought of it this name make us dream already!
As Spring slowly arrived, I had in my mind to visit this Garden of Eden during this beginning of the season to catch the essence itself of what Nature offers to us in such places on earth.

Coming by car from Nice the last turns on the little road that drives us to the Grail were like pure joy! Always super excited after passing each of them like a kid who can wait to open his gifts for its birthday! I came to the conclusion that it was like taking on a new dimension in which we were in total reconnection with the nature and with ourselves by the way! Everything there was peaceful and the warm welcome of the GM Ermès De Megni made us feel at home in a split second: the Dolce Vita is not a dream it’s well and truly a reality and the Splendido is probably the cradle of chill here in Italy! The Hotel is one the most iconic worldwide luxury establishment and have had a stream of the greatest persons who are mostly still present in photos on the several areas of the hotel.

In a world where everything is temporary the Splendido appears as timeless! All it takes to roam within it to feel it :)
Calm, spectacular, voluptuous… the place never pretends to be something else it stays itself and we have just the impression to be unique staying in this legendary place. This is awesome to see how an hotel like this cross ages and keep representing this authentic luxury which is more about a true lifestyle than a simple product. One of the major point here is the fact that every single of with the 55 rooms has its own soul with a unique interior design for each piece of this awesome puzzle, loved it! Starting the day with a splendid breakfast on our breathtaking terrace, explore the slightest nook of Portofino, daydream around the pool after lunch and finally enjoy the last notes of the pianist at the bar before to fall in the arms of Morpheus… this is how daily life should works no?!

Sometimes why travel at the world’s end to live ‘the Dolce Vita’ when that one beneath our very eyes? Welcome to our parallel world!

Here we go, D-100 before ‘Le Tour de France’! The winter season is hardly over at Grand Tourmalet and we are already all focus now in cross country skiing from the Pic du Midi and preparing one of the world most viewed sporting event! So what a better combo than ride the mountain the morning and climb it by bike during the afternoon haha 😀

This year my favorite spot Payolle will be the point of arrival of the 7th stage of the Tour! No better place to recharge the batteries before the 8th stage and the famous ascent of the Tourmalet pass the day after 😉

Can not wait to be ready the next July 8th and 9th to support the cyclists from the top of my mountain! See you there guys 😉

Where everything has started

Where everything started

The first time I came to Payolle I was just 2 years old and I was discovering snow for the first time. Apparently I loved it from what X says and this passion about this spot never stops growing everytime I go there. I started to have fun going sledging, making my first snowman, my first prints in the snow, cross country skiing rides… it was like the golden age where creativity was at its height!

Today nothing has changed, I am a creative adult who’s nothing else than the child who survived actually 😉
Adventuring the mountain creating unforgatable moments is my new game and certainly my favorite one! My ‘little Canada’ became years after years my playground where all my passions met each other… Can not be more stoked to live here and enjoy the most precious things that mother nature has to offer 😀

I let you with some of my latest daydreams, please feel free to travel with me 😉

A Ride To Remember

Panoramic vision

Last saturday was organised the Derby du Pic du Midi. Since few years the conditions to ride this derby were not banded together and we get an unprecendented opportunity: fresh snow, blue sky, sunbathing and a pretty cool collection of over motivated riders 😉 That’s life!

The concept is pretty simple ski down the mountain at top speed and what a better playing area than the Pic to start this game ?!
After a full check of the face the race started at 11:00am in order to enjoy a softer snow and limit the damage 😉 At the end it’s the daredevil Julien Maguy who rides faster than ever whith a black total look to kill the mountain with his leather bomber and skinny demim. Flying, floating, fleeting Julien knows perfectly each square centimenter of every faces around the Pic and he delivered an impressive run with only a 4:09 minutes high speed travel!

After the contest I had the huge privilege to create my own line escorted by my new buddy Sabkouch! What an endless freedom feeling to race with a crazy avalanche rescue dog in this white vastness… mind-blowing in every way!
Both funny and inspiring to see how Sabkouch is in its element always running on the snow, taking the ski lifts and chillin’ around 😉

Epic day, stunning atmosphere and new happy encounters made my day! Another unique ride to remember at Grand Tourmalet 😎
